Kefi (κέφι) is a Greek word with no tidy translation. It is the spirit of joy for its own sake: dancing without music, laughing without reason, living with soul.
We named the house after it because that is what jewellery should do. Not sit in a drawer waiting for permission. Not perform for occasions. Just catch the light the way you do, every single day.
At KEFI, we believe jewellery should be more than an accessory. It should be a reflection of you: of your energy, your journey, your story. Every jewel we create captures a feeling, like joy frozen in light, or a cherished memory made wearable.
A second-generation obsession
Before KEFI was a brand, it was a childhood. Kamal Saoud’s father ran a jewellery house from the 1970s, an atelier in Lebanon crafting fine pieces for the GCC, and Kamal’s earliest memories live on that workshop floor: shaping wax, handling moulds, sorting gemstones by colour and diamonds by size. Easy jobs for small hands, and an education no school could give.
What began as instinct became expertise: Kamal trained in gemology at the GIA in New York, then spent years inside the family business, mastering the trade end to end.
In late 2020, Kamal founded KEFI from Beirut to change how his generation wears fine jewellery: less ceremony, more life. Real gold and natural diamonds, designed to be layered, stacked, mixed, and worn on a Tuesday, not locked in a safe waiting for a wedding. And because the atelier was already family, every piece travels straight from the workshop bench to your hands, no middlemen in between. By 2021, KEFI was home in Dubai: a second-generation craft made modern and personal, for women who wear their milestones, moods, and memories.
Natural diamonds. Nothing else.
At KEFI, the founder is also the gemologist. Kamal personally selects every stone with his GIA training, sourcing only natural diamonds from trusted, ethically verified suppliers, and holding each one to an exacting standard of colour and clarity. Larger diamonds come GIA certified. Nothing reaches the bench that he wouldn’t set in a piece for his own family.
Every stone is then set in-house, by professional craftsmen in our own atelier, in 18KT yellow, white, or rose gold: the balance point of purity and strength, strong enough for every day, warm enough to keep its glow for decades. We work only with natural diamonds because their beauty is inseparable from their rarity: formed over a billion years, carrying real value and real history. That is what makes a piece worth passing down.
